About the Game

Tweek & the Witch's Woods is a platforming game built to be played the way you want to play it. There aren't necessarily any correct routes to anywhere.

The game is built around free-flow exploration. You decide how you want to get where you're going, and if a path doesn't work, you can either try another way or find an item that can help. One item may give you a double jump, while another will let you walk on ceilings, and some do much stranger things. You can only carry one at a time, so moving through the world becomes a series of small decisions and experiments.

Aside from the mechanics, Tweek is intended to be a game for Autumn. Not just Halloween, but the fall season itself. The whole game takes place on one night as a storm approaches the town of Vernon during their harvest festival.

The game is currently being developed for the Planic Playdate, which felt like the perfect place for something small, strange, and a bit experimental. You can follow the development game on X and Instagram.

What is it?

Tweek & the Witch's Woods is an upcoming game for the Panic Playdate, a unique handheld game console that's a hub for weird and wonderful games!

Between the townsfolk of Vernon, the witch in the woods, and the oddballs in between, everyone's got something to swipe. In Tweek, you'll find you way through a world full of secrets. Steal items, drink potions, and change how you jump, slide, dash, or climb. Every upgrade opens new paths, and surprises abound as you try new things!

About TJ Lund

I like creating things. There have been times when I wanted to write novels, so I wrote novels. There have been times when I wanted to create tabletop game books, so I created tabletop game books. There was even one time when I wanted to write a screenplay about Hannibal's war with Rome, so I wrote a screenplay.

With Tweek, I want to make something something more enduring, something that's more of a finished product in itself that could find its way into people's hands. I wanted to share my love of the Autumn and explore the imagery of the fall.

Other Projects

  • Hannibal Screenplay(no link but hit me up, Denzel)
  • Ancestral Phibs (idk, honestly)
